Located
in the heart of historic South Carolina, HalfMoon Poms is dedicated to
breeding tiny dogs with big hearts! Specializing in the Pomeranian and
Chihuahua breeds, our small, family owned kennel has been practicing the art
of producing special puppies for caring people since 1974. Breeding these
wonderful animals is not only our pastime - it's our passion. We feel that we
are blessed to have the opportunity to share our hearts and homes with our
dogs, and enjoy being able to introduce other responsible dog enthusiasts to
the joys of Pomeranian and Chihuahua ownership.
Our love affair with toy breeds started with the
purchase of our first dog, a Pug. We once believed that pugs were the
"only dogs in the world", and focused our breeding program on
pugs. 
When we got our first Pomeranian, we were immediately smitten with her sweet,
smart and attentive personality. We wanted to have more, and share our
feelings for this breed with others. We began to focus our breeding efforts on
the Pomeranian, as well as the Chihuahua. We breed our dogs selectively
for health, temperament, conformation and appearance, and offer special
puppies to loving, responsible pet and breeding homes. We have a variety of
colors and personalities to choose from for that special family who wishes to
share their love with a new family member.
Our puppies are born and raised with love. We have five children who have all
grown up and moved away, so our dogs are a great source of joy to us, as well
as the recipients of all of our affection. We love having all of our
"little ones" to come home to. All of our dogs are considered to be
first rate family members. Not a day goes by that we don't give a great big
hug to each of our little pals. Each litter of puppies is very well-socialized
and makes a wonderful addition to your family.
HalfMoon Poms occasionally has older dogs available to approved pet and breeding homes. All of our puppies are AKC registered, happy and healthy, and ready to be adored by your family.
