If you are looking for a fantastic companion to share your home, I’m all ears! I am a very sweet, funny and loving medium to large sized mixed breed dog. I am a great mix of Boxer, Pointer and Terrier. I’m not too big – and not too small. I look quite a bit like a large Beagle, and have nice brown and white markings.
I don’t require a lot of work to own. I am happy getting my tummy rubbed and my ears scratched. I do enjoy a good walk, but I am not a high energy dog. I’m a great friend, companion and confidante. I’m super good at welcoming you home! Whether you have been gone 5 minutes – or 5 hours, you can rest assured I will wiggle my tail off when I see you.
I am being rehomed by my owners, who are very sad to have to make this difficult decision. Recently their pregnant daughter and her little girl moved in, along with their 2 dogs, and this menagerie of people and pets is just too much for me. They feel that I would be happier in an “only dog” home, where I can be the cherished center of someone’s universe.

Very sweet, expressive ears take on many shapes. Sleeps on bed, often on back with legs in the air. Loves to play, fetch.
MURPHY BROWN’S CURRENT HOME ENVIRONMENT
Typically, two adults, no other pets. New granddaughter and two other dogs visiting frequently. MB does not like one of the dogs!
MURPHY BROWN’S CURRENT FAMILY:
Slightly over 60 year old active adults with one adult married daughter who is expecting and one 9 month old granddaughter. They have a new puppy and a dobie/ Rott mix female.
MURPHY BROWN’S FAVORITE TOYS, FOODS, ACTIVITIES?
Rope, ball and squeaky toys. She is fairly low energy until outside, then she loves to run in tight circles like an Indy car.
CUTE MURPHY BROWN STORY:
Every morning when she gets up, she twists her ears like a cow and nearly wags her rear end off. She has 4 distinct, unique ear positions and loves to be massaged on her back hips. This produces instant cow ears. Her hips are not sore, she just has loved being squeezed in that area and having her pink belly patted since a pup.
WHY IS MURPHY BROWN BEING REHOMED?
With a toddler around more often and Murphy’s intense dislike for their pet, fights can be really frightening. We just can’t take a chance on our granddaughter or pregnant daughter getting in the way should we let our guard down with the dogs outside or bolting through a door. Neither dog likes the other.
MURPHY BROWN’S PERFECT ADOPTIVE HOME WILL BE:
Either adults with no kids looking for a loving one owner pet with low energy until you want to play or family with older children. Either case, no other pets seems ideal.
